Depending on the weather and your skills we are offering great choice of hiking destinations both daytime or evening for you to experience and enjoy. To choose from we have among others: Silver waterfall that rushes down the mountainside out to the lake Torneträsk. The falls sit nestled into the mossy mountainside. We take the stone path down towards it. Arctic plants hug the riverbanks and covers bits of the slate and limestone. Saxifrage and roseroot grow alongside the lovely orange-coloured lichen. Standing on the bridge and looking back at the steep, majestic waterfall, listening to the roar of the falling water, is worth doing. The final part of the path drops down steeply to the beach. Don’t miss the fantastic view of Lapporten (the gap in the mountains known as the gate to Lapland) from here. Kratersjön Lake it might be a bit cold to swim in but crater lake is flanked by smooth, flat rocks perfect for sitting and taking in the views. Paddus-Nabbarna it is an ancient Sami sacrificial place, still holding significance for the remaining Sami people, with sweeping views over lake Torneträskand the surrounding area. Those are just few most popular destinations but no worries, our guides knows many more interesting places around the village so you will never run out of things to explore.
