The aurora snowshoe walk takes you away from the light of Abisko and through the forest at night, which is a very special experience. We use the old way of hiking in the snow, with snowshoes on. We see the northern lights when they are visible and usually local wildlife out at night too.
We often had towards Nabben and stop at good places to see the northern lights. We might even go down onto the lake.
During the walk, our guides will serve some hot drinks to help us stay warm.
The walk is relatively easy so most people can do it. Contact us if you would like a tougher hike and a challenge!

We start the walk between 18:00-20:00, depending on the time of year and weather conditions that day. In December, we can start as early as 18:00, as long as there is snow to walk on. Ask at reception for the starting time.
